![]() I have reset my SMC, made sure allow Bluetooth to wake is on changed USB ports, rebooted (several times) even ran hardware test (no issues found). The printer is seen by the USB in the Mac when it's not working, going into about this Mac / system report / USBI can see the Zebra printer is there but it can't communicate with the software. I would however like to find a better fix for this so it works right. I found a temporary work around by setting my CPU to never sleep. I have never had these troubles before and it's getting me frustrated. The printer however is a major PITA as it's set back in a cabinet and I have to pull it out, reach behind it to urn it off and on again and half the time I end up pulling out the power cable or USB cable while doing this. ![]() The speaker is a mild annoyance and I only mention it to show it's not 'just' the printer with an issue, it's some USB items. I will have to run the printer off then on again every time my Mac sleeps.Īlso my Bose speakers have a LED on the controller, it's normally white (meaning on and ready) and amber (when I touch it to turn it off) but when the Mac wakes from sleep it's always amber meaning I have to turn it on or I have no audio. ![]() What will happen is I try to print a label but the printer is shown as paused under printer settings and the job is in queue, If I click "resume" in print queue then I see an error "cannot send data to printer". When my 27" iMac (5k) sleeps it disconnects a label printer I use to print postage labels for my business as well I found my Bose USB sound system turns off as well.
